Discovering Bashkiria: Where music & culture meet age-old traditions

Inland Visions is back! This season’s premiere sees the team journey to the Republic of Bashkortostan, discovering one of the oldest ethnicities in Russia – the people of Bashkiria.

Their culture, language and traditions create a unique mix of northern resilience and southern hospitality. Host Peter Scott saddles up on a Bashkir horse, samples local cuisine, tries his hand at archery, and tunes in for an ethnic music ensemble that’s bringing back ancient hits.
