American actor and singer Jared Leto hopes to perform in Russia and Ukraine when the conflict between the two countries is over.

Addressing an audience in Belgrade Arena during a concert in Serbia on Friday, Leto, the frontman of the rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars, gave a shout-out to his Russian fans, asking them to raise their hands in the air.

“I know we have people from all over the world here tonight. I thought I felt a little of that Russian energy. Did you miss us?” he asked the fans.

“One day, when all these problems are finished, we’re gonna come visit you, in your homeland,” he said.

“We’re gonna come back to Serbia. We’re gonna go to St. Petersburg, over to Moscow. We’re gonna drop down to Kiev. We are gonna party and hang out with everybody,” he continued, adding that this is “the way it should be.”

Thirty Seconds to Mars is currently on tour promoting their latest album ‘It’s the End of the World but It’s a Beautiful Day’.

The band performed in Russia before the escalation of the Ukraine conflict in February 2022.

In 2021, Leto made a video call to a terminally ill fan, Anastasia Petrova, who was staying at a hospice in Moscow at the time.
