Hipster Putin? Russian president wears New Balance sneakers on school trip (PHOTOS)
There’s nothing better than lacing up a comfy pair of sneakers when you’re going to be on your feet all day. This belief seems to be shared by Vladimir Putin, who has been snapped wearing a tidy pair of New Balance.
The Russian president was photographed wearing the trendy shoes while visiting a school for gifted children in the city of Sochi on Russia’s Black Sea Coast.
During the visit to the Sirius educational center on Friday, Putin heard about how the school operates and its plans for further development. That evening, he attended a hockey match at the Bolshoi Ice Arena, the home of HC Sochi in the Kontinental Hockey League.
New Balance is a favorite amongst hipsters around the world and the Russian leader also seems to approve of the comfy sneakers. He was previously photographed wearing the shoes during a visit to Russian Orthodox monastery in the Pskov region.
