Russia’s Defense Ministry has shared a video purporting to show the destruction of a Ukrainian-operated M270 MLRS Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) using an Iskander-M missile.
The short clip shared on the ministry’s official Telegram channel on Tuesday features drone footage showing what appears to be the US-supplied MLRS stationed on a road. The ministry stated that the incident took place near the settlement of Malaya Seideminukha in Russia’s Kherson Region.
A few moments later, the missile system and accompanying vehicles can be seen engulfed in a huge blast.
“As a result of the Iskander-M strike, the American M270 MLRS, auxiliary equipment, and Ukrainian military personnel were destroyed,” the Russian Defense Ministry stated in the footnote under the video.
The Russian military regularly reports on successful strikes against Ukrainian and Western-donated military hardware. On Monday, it also released footage of a drone strike against a US-made Bradley infantry fighting vehicle in Ukraine’s Kharkov Region.
Moscow has repeatedly warned that no amount of Western aid will change the outcome of the Ukraine conflict and will only lead to more bloodshed. Russia has also warned that any foreign weapons sent to Ukraine will be destroyed.
