Russian troops have destroyed two Ukrainian armored vehicles with the help of explosives-laden FPV drones in Kharkov Region, the Defense Ministry in Moscow has said, releasing footage of the attack.
In a Telegram post on Wednesday, the ministry wrote that the “North tactical group’s reconnaissance identified the movement of two Ukrainian armored combat vehicles, whose crews were attempting to conceal them in wooded areas in Kharkov Region.” Russian military personnel deployed kamikaze UAVs, destroying both targets, the message added.
In a separate statement, the ministry estimated that Ukraine has lost up to 50 troops in the same area within the past 24 hours. Military officials in Moscow estimated that Kiev’s aggregate casualties along the entire front line over the same period have reached nearly 1,700 service members.
According to the Defense Ministry, Russian forces also took out two tanks, including one French-made АМХ-10, as well as another armored vehicle in different areas of the Donetsk People’s Republic. Moscow’s troops are also said to have destroyed several artillery guns, with a French-made 155-mm CAESAR self-propelled howitzer, British-made 155-mm FH-70 howitzer, US-made 155-mm М198 howitzer, and a US-made 105-mm М119 howitzer among them.
Moreover, the Ukrainian military lost three electronic warfare systems, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
The statement added that the Russian Air Force, together with drone operators, missile and artillery units, had struck several fuel depots used by the Ukrainian military.
Russian air defenses have intercepted one surface-to-surface rocket and 68 plane-type drones over the past 24 hours, the ministry stated.
