Ukrainian drone smashes into apartment block in Russia (VIDEOS)

A Ukrainian drone struck the Black Sea port of Novorossiysk during a large-scale attack on cities in southern Russia, leaving eight civilians injured, officials have said.
Krasnodar Region Governor Veniamin Kondratyev said air raid sirens rang in several coastal cities from Sunday through Monday, including the resort town of Sochi.
In Novorossiysk, two children and one adult were injured in a private home, while three others were injured in an attack on an apartment block. In a separate incident, two people were injured on a road on the outskirts of the city.

Kondratyev said six apartment blocks and two individual houses were damaged, while drone fragments fell on several industrial sites.
Novorossiysk has a commercial port and a naval base on the Black Sea, and is home to about 250,000 people.
The Russian Defense Ministry said 148 drones were intercepted in different regions on Sunday night.

On Friday, a Ukrainian drone sank the Russian grain ship Volgo-Balt 138 in the Sea of Azov, killing one person on board, a local official said.
The Kremlin said that US-mediated talks with Ukraine had been placed on hold due to the war in the Middle East.
