Can America truly recover from the divisions exemplified by the storming of the Capitol in January? The Alex Salmond Show interviews anthropologist Wade Davis about the underlying crisis of post-Trump America. He argues that the flying of the Confederate flag in the “temple of democracy” illustrates that it is still race which fundamentally divides America and therefore it will be no easy task for the Biden/Harris presidency to lead a recovery based on “the better angels of our nature,” which Abraham Lincoln invoked in his inaugural address.
