Sexual abuse of veterans & E-Cig explosions

On this episode of America’s Lawyer, Mike Papantonio discusses the increasing cases of e-cigarette explosions and speaks with attorney Andrew McGraw about the lawsuits being brought against big tobacco over these incidents. Mike then talks to attorney Robert Kinsman about the sexual abuse perpetrated against veterans by a physician’s assistant at a Kansas veterans’ hospital and why the VA took so long to do anything about it. Mike is then joined by Mollye Barrows, legal journalist for The Trial Lawyer Magazine, to discuss a lawsuit brought against Louisiana over the state’s crumbling public defender system. America’s Lawyer wraps up the show by highlighting a $671 million settlement to be paid out by DuPont for dumping a toxic chemical into the Ohio River for over five decades.
