Canada, EU sign long delayed CETA trade deal

Prosecutors have dropped fraud charges against South African finance Minister Pravin Gordhan; plus a new study finds some racially biased Uber and Lyft drivers. Ameera David has the details. Then, Bianca Facchinei takes a look at Iceland’s parliamentary election results. Afterwards, Alex Mihailovich breaks down the just signed EU-Canadian CETA trade deal, and the agreement between GE and Baker Hughes to merger their oil and gas businesses.

Following the break, Dean Baker, co-founder of the Center for Economic and Policy Research and author the new book Rigged, tells Edward Harrison why free trade isn’t always fair, and what’s ahead for the TTIP and TPP. And finally, in The Big Deal, Edward has more on CETA, and whether or not TTIP is dead as a result.
