Obama doctrine

How should we describe the Obama administration’s foreign policy – idealistic, pragmatic, neither, or merely erratic? On the one hand, Obama is reaching out to Cuba and Burma, but on the other he’s backing coups in Egypt and Ukraine. Is there such a thing as the Obama doctrine?
