Western media apoplectic over President Putin’s victory
President Vladimir Putin won the Russian presidential election this past weekend with a whopping 87% of the vote. However, the Western media has been quick to declare the election pointless in what they call a “dictatorial regime.” Interestingly, the same media doesn’t refer to the United States as a dictatorship where the two candidates have been all but pre-ordained. Nor do they refer to other world leaders as dictators, for example El-Sisi of Egypt, who won an election in 2014 with 97% of the vote and with whom six EU leaders met this past weekend to sign a deal on the economy and refugees. Meanwhile, the case for espionage in the United States on TikTok is shrinking and Niger’s leaders are calling for the removal of any US military presence in the country. Catch all of this on Direct Impact with guests Steve Gill, radio host and commentator, and veteran war correspondent Elijah Magnier.
