Apples of discord

In 2014, Russia imposed an embargo on agricultural imports from the EU, in response to Western sanctions related to Ukraine. The measure wiped out EU agricultural exports to Russia. RTD meets the EU farmers for whom the loss of a valuable customer threatens their whole business model, and farmers’ union reps who question the EU’s response to the crisis.
