Their lives were classified as top secret for years. Former Soviet scientists and intelligence officers exclusively recall the time of the nuclear bomb’s creation. Their mission was impossible: to get the USSR its first nuclear bomb and avert the next nuclear war, a danger which loomed following the end of WWII.
