Lady Cops of Afghanistan

The recent peace deal between the US and Taliban has again raised the issue of women's rights in Afghanistan. Women there now fear they’ll lose educational and career opportunities.

Serving in the police is seen by many Afghan women as one of the ways to achieve an independent career. But it’s never been an easy one, as Afghan policewomen are often marginalized by their families, terrorized by criminals and brutally killed. See the stories of those brave women who chose to put their lives at stake to achieve an independent career.

Watch "Lady Cops of Kabul" on RTD website and on RT's live feed. The time of the broadcast is available on RT's schedule page.
