Pandemic Odyssey

The Covid-19 lockdown left many people anxious and depressed as they were confined to their homes, but compare that to being stranded in the middle of the ocean. This is what a crew of Russian sailing enthusiasts had to go through when they got caught crossing the Pacific Ocean during the quarantine.

Their trip around the world on a steel yacht was cut short when the first pandemic wave hit, and the team was only able to resume their travels eight months later. But when they set out to cross the Pacific Ocean, Covid-19 struck again. With borders closed, the team had no chance to enter any of the ports on the way. They had to survive on the scarce food and water they had, replenishing it by fishing and gathering rainwater. Things went very differently from what they expected. How did they manage to get out?
