My friend from war
“Even when I was burying my brother, I didn’t cry. It’s too hard, by the way. This is one of the things that affects me from war. In a war zone you don’t have the time to cry, you aren’t gonna be able to cry in front of your friends. You feel, but you can’t express,” says Rami Samaan. He used to have a large family and many friends, but now there are only two members left – him and his mom. He is traumatized by the loss of all his friends; he doesn't believe in friendship anymore, because friends may one day disappear. So, Rami made a friend who will never leave. It’s a volleyball, found by Rami at a playground and named Willy by the young man. How did this unlikely friendship help Rami to power through his trauma?
