A Family Man and Anti-Hero Gonzo (E6)
GONZO arrives in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where tourism is booming thanks to the latest, greatest American anti-hero, Walter White, the fictional high-school teacher turned meth kingpin in the hit TV series, ‘Breaking Bad.’ After a brief stop at Los Pollos Hermanos, they visit the laundry service where the fictional labs were filmed for the series. They discuss the family man who turned evil under a healthcare system like the lawless and dangerous Wild West that drove pioneers and cowboys to become the quickest-draw gunslinger possible. Max then visits the Candy Lady in downtown Albuquerque to talk about the ‘consequences of our choices.’ She believes we cannot forget the past but that we must also remember that it brought us to today, and we need to move beyond all that is tearing us apart. They also discuss the high costs of Obamacare and the financial hardships it has brought. GONZO then drives out of town toward Billy the Kid’s gravesite.
