EU travel banned, NY town contained & stocks plummet as coronavirus spreads

President Trump announced a sweeping travel ban, cancelling travel from 26 European countries to the US for the next 30 days in an effort to avoid more COVID-19 infections. The UK and Ireland are exempt from the travel ban. RT America’s Faran Fronczak reports. Then, RT America’s Trinity Chavez reports from outside the containment zone in New Rochelle, after New York deployed the National Guard to what is being described as the largest cluster of coronavirus infections in the US. The stock market continues to plunge, moving deeper and deeper into bear market territory, with major US indexes sinking as much as 8 percent. The European exchanges are also suffering. RT America’s Sayeh Tavangar breaks it all down. European nations are reeling from President Trump’s travel ban on most of the continent. Only two countries, the UK and Ireland, have been left off the travel ban. Former UK MP George Galloway weighs in.
