G20: Trump flips on Huawei after ‘great meeting’

Presidents Donald Trump and Xi Jinping have announced another truce in the US-China trade war after an 80-minute bilateral meeting at the G20 summit in Osaka, Japan. He also announced his intention to ease the campaign against Chinese telecomm giant Huawei, much to the consternation of some in Washington. RT America’s Sara Montes de Oca reports. Boom Bust host “Christy Ai” joins Scottie Nell Hughes to discuss the market reaction to the truce in the ongoing US-China trade war. She argues that Beijing doesn’t expect President Trump to actually allow Huawei back into the US and that the apparent change in his stance on the Chinese telecomm giant is a political gesture aimed at helping his reelection campaign.

Several were injured in the altercation, which Portland deemed a “civil disturbance.” Lionel of Lionel Media joins News.Views.Hughes to share his insights.
