The News with Rick Sanchez - April 30, 2019 (20:00 ET)

Caracas reporter refutes US Maduro claim

Rick Sanchez reports on the clashes between Venezuelan police and supporters of opposition leader Juan Guaido that rocked the country on Tuesday after Guaido urged an uprising to “recover national sovereignty” and topple the Maduro government. We’ll also hear from reporter and analyst Lucas Koerner by telephone, who describes the situation on site in Venezuela.

Networks go nuts over Venezuela without facts

RT America’s John Huddy joins Rick Sanchez to discuss the skewed mainstream coverage of Tuesday’s violent clashes and protests in Venezuela. He compares the coverage to establishment networks’ coverage of riots in the US and France, neither of which were termed “uprisings.”

Shouting match in Washington at Venezuelan embassy

RT America’s Michele Greenstein reports from Venezuela’s embassy in DC on the standoff between the anti-intervention “Embassy Protection Collective” and the anti-Maduro demonstrators gathered outside. She interviews people on both sides of the issue.
