Chaos and disarray at Kabul airport a week since the Taliban swept to power in Afghanistan. It's now reportedly to be closed for the next two days to evacuate those already inside. Thousands are still desperately trying to flee through the country's only air corridor. Despite the devasting advance of the Taliban there is some resistance to the Islamists. With groups protesting the take over, Afghan women took to the streets fearing for their future under the new regime. The chaotic pullout by the western coalition also leaves a generous gift for the insurgents including advanced weaponry from aircraft and armoured vehicles to even biometric identification systems.
