Biden out & Trump wins the RNC
It seems like every time I think the plot of the US presidential election cannot handle another twist, one reveals itself. The latest is Joe Biden relinquishing his bid for reelection just 4 months shy of Election Day and less than 3 days following the close of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee. The RNC convention was filled with sights never seen before, like the ripping off of a t-shirt by a well known wrestler, poetic words from a major online influencer, and of course a presidential candidate sporting a bandage over his recent gunshot wound. The theme for the week was strength and unity. On this episode of Perspective, Scottie Nell Hughes asks her panel (Robin Biro, Veteran and former Barack Obama Campaign director; Stevie Giorno, Tennessee delegate, Representative, Young Republicans; Angie Wong, Florida Delegate and board member, Coalition PAC) whether the former president was able to stay on message. And how would it have affected the RNC if Biden had just let the world know sooner about his plans to withdraw from the race?
