The insanity of Trump & Russiagate w/ Matt Taibbi

This week, Lee brings you another double-interview special with the renowned journalist and author Matt Taibbi, and the climate change activist and author Ed Fallon.

Taibbi recently wrote an article for Rolling Stone about the $21 trillion in unaccounted spending at the Pentagon. Lee and Taibbi were part of a small cadre of journalists who reported on this story. Similarly, Taibbi and Lee both publicly remained skeptical of the Russiagate story over the last two years. In the interview, they also talk about the illegitimacy of the media, Trump’s “insane clown presidency,” campaign finance reform, and Taibbi's upcoming book ‘Hate, Inc.’

In the second half of the show, Lee talks to Ed Fallon. He is an activist, a former Iowa State legislator, and the author of ‘Marcher, Walker, Pilgrim.’ They talk about the state of climate change, ideas to overcome it, and the cross-country march that Fallon undertook several years ago to bring attention to environmental issues. Fallon tells us how to influence politicians with grassroots strategies such as bird-dogging, where people surprise politicians with important questions while on camera.
