Ten demands for abolition w/ AWKWORD, Jeff Bezos leaving Earth

Lee Camp is joined by the rapper, journalist, and activist AWKWORD for an interview about the prison abolitionist program he co-founded. The program is named ‘Ten Demands For Justice: The Road To Abolition’. They have a ten point plan that addresses police brutality, mass incarceration, reparations, and more. Camp and AWKWORD discuss the rapper's upbringing, his introduction to the music industry and activism, the brutal system of mass incarceration that we live under, the right to protest, the real meaning of demands to defund the police, and how we can move forward as a society beyond policing.

Naomi Karavani focuses on Jeff Bezos and Amazon.com, Inc. in the Weekly Offensive. Bezos recently announced his plan to head to space on a commercial flight with his company Blue Origin. The announcement of his space flight came amid a flurry of bad press over tax evasion, questions about anti-trust violations, Amazon's $8.45 billion purchase of MGM, and a global corporate tax proposal from the G7 that could leave Amazon out.
