Exposing Canadian imperialists, Prop 22 overturned

Lee Camp speaks with Aidan Jonah, the editor-in-chief of ‘The Canada Files’, for a discussion about how the US’ northern neighbor contributes to the imperialist violence of the US Empire. Jonah talks about Canada’s role in NATO bombings, exposing Canadian foreign policy through his publication, anti-China propaganda coming from Canada’s ruling class, the push-back independent journalists face from establishment figures for reporting on corruption, and much more.

Naomi Karavani reports on a recent court ruling in California that struck down the anti-labor Prop 22 referendum. Corporations like Uber and Lyft put a fortune into pushing Prop 22 which allowed them to continue to exploit gig workers as cheap labor. Prop 22 was a response to a policy that would have forced them to classify their gig workers as employees. The campaign they waged was filled with lies and mistruths with the ultimate intention of screwing over the workers.
