TPP could stifle US economic growth – trade experts
At the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, many delegates are hopeful Hillary Clinton will keep her anti-TPP stance throughout her general election campaign. Hillary Clinton is expected to voice her opposition to TPP in her acceptance speech at the DNC. RT America’s Manila Chan reports from Washington, DC that trade experts at the Council on Hemispheric Affairs say that TPP would not lead to any positive outcomes for the working or middle classes and could stifle US economic growth.
Murder of 27-year old DNC staffer still a mystery
An early-morning murder of a Democratic National Committee (DNC) staffer in Washington, DC remains unsolved weeks after the crime took place. Police found 27-year old Seth Rich, the DNC director of voter expansion, lying on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He later died at the hospital. RT America’s Simone Del Rosario reports from the scene of the crime and says that police still have no witnesses, no suspects, and no motive for the murder.
