What’s changed in the American political landscape? After the midterm elections, although polling was up more than a third on the last midterms, there was no fireworks barge on the east river for Democrat celebrations – and no blue wave to float it. The Democrats secured a moderate working majority in the House of Representatives but had a disastrous night in the US Senate. They didn’t do all that well in the Governors’ races either. Eurasia expert Adam Garrie joins George and Gayatri Galloway to pick over the results.

And the killing of Jamal Khashoggi; did it change anything with regard to Saudi Arabia? The Saudi king’s brother flew home from self-imposed exile in London and US Defence Secretary James “Mad Dog” Mattis said that the killing in Yemen had gone on long enough. But the guns haven’t fallen silent and peace talks in Sweden remain unattended. Our guest Dr. Marcus Papadopoulos discusses Saudi’s position on the world stage in this week’s Sputnik.
