An intrepid traveller and life after parliament (E314)

There’s a long tradition of intrepid British travellers to the Orient; from Richard Burton, TE Lawrence, Gertrude Bell, St. John Philby and many more. But they were all upper-class traveling with camel train and baggage – carried by servants, of course. Julian Morrow is a traveller on a smaller budget journeying to places more off the beaten track. He’s a modern chronicler who somehow not only gets around, but gets to see other people and places from a different angle, all while carrying his own bags and camera. So, we invited him into the Sputnik studio to tell us about his latest trip.

Norman Baker was in the House of Commons for years and was no ordinary LibDem. He challenged the official narrative by writing a challenging book ‘The Strange Death of David Kelly’ and is now an Executive Producer of the forthcoming film ‘Killing Kelly.’ No royalist, he recently published a book about the British Royal Family and he’s making a film about the Skripal affair.

He’s had many lives, including as a Minister of State under Michael Howard at the Home Office, so we invited him into the Sputnik studio to tell us more about life after Parliament.
