In the 1950s, the US government initiated a witch hunt for gay men and lesbians, now known as the Lavender Scare; Josh Howard discusses his latest documentary which explores this dark history. In Ferguson, an alarming number of activists have been found dead in questionable circumstances. In 2014, a photo of a young black boy hugging a Portland officer went viral, but the larger story behind the photo is quite heartbreaking. And the homelessness crisis hits a new record.
