Far apart & personal? Ft. Tomohiko Taniguchi, special adviser to PM Abe’s Cabinet

According to an old Japanese proverb, a talented hawk hides its claws. That may well be a guiding strategy for Japan under Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, who has so far been more assertive in foreign policy than any of his predecessors, but who prefers to keep it amicable – even if it runs counter to international public opinion. Has this approach borne any fruit yet? To discuss this, Oksana is joined by Dr. Tomohiko Taniguchi, special adviser to Prime Minister Abe’s cabinet.
