The East-West power struggle, accentuated by the war in Ukraine and rising tensions around Taiwan, has temporarily eclipsed another axis of swelling misbalances and potential troubles – the struggle between the global North and the global South. Given how developing countries have been paying so dearly for the decisions made in the so-called developed world, isn’t the time ripe to break this co-dependence?
