During the ninth round of China-US trade talks in Washington on Thursday, US President Trump said China and the US should be responsible for the world in response to a question raised by a reporter from China Media Group.
The reporter asked Trump what he thinks of the Malaysian trade minister's remark that negotiations between the US and China would "affect everyone," as he urged the two sides to feel a sense of global responsibility.
Trump noted that he thinks both countries do have a responsibility to the world, "and that's a big reason we're here." He said this will be a tremendous thing for the world if "we get it done."
