Young fan’s makeshift Messi jersey sets social media on fire
A social media campaign is underway to find the owner of a makeshift Messi jersey. A picture of a young boy, believed to be from Iraq, wearing a plastic bag as a jersey, has won the hearts of football fans who hope to present the kid with a real one.
“A boy in Iraq has made a Lionel Messi shirt from a plastic bag”, reported Fanatik.
The image of the young fan, who appears to be wearing a makeshift Argentina jersey with Lionel Messi’s number 10, has spread like wildfire throughout social media after appearing on Turkish fan blogs.

People have been sharing the photo in the hope of locating the child and grabbing the football star’s attention.

Some reports on Twitter claim Messi is aware of the heartbreaking photo and is trying to locate the boy.
