Russian gymnast Paseka wins silver in women's vault

Maria Paseka won her second silver medal in the Rio Olympic Games after earning 15.253 points in the women's vault final.

The gold medal went to American Simone Biles with 15.699. A 19-year-old Olympic debutant therefore has three gold medals. Bronze was earned by Switzerland's Giulia Steingruber, who earned 15.216 points.

Team Russia now has 26 medals, including 7 gold, 11 silver and 8 bronze.

Moscow native Paseka is a silver and bronze medalist from the London 2012 Olympics, as well as being World and European 2015 women's vault champion.

Uzbekistan's Oksana Chusovitina, bidding to become the oldest ever gymnast to win an Olympic medal at the age of 41, finished seventh out of the eight finalists.
