Conor McGregor has hit out on social media after he was fined $150,000 for his bust-up with Nate Diaz at their UFC 202 press conference in August.
The Irishman landed himself in hot water with the Nevada State Commission following the scuffle between the two fighters which saw them throw bottles at each other.
McGregor was fined $150,000 of his $3 million purse and ordered to carry out 50 hours of community service.
Taking to Twitter, McGregor wrote: "I get fined more than these bums get paid."
Speaking at the hearing, McGregor apologized for the incident and admitted he was in the wrong.
“I was very, very upset at the incident. It was a high stakes fight, my emotions got the better of me,” he said.
"All I can say is I'm sorry. When I saw the bottles coming at my team, I picked up bottles and threw it back at their team. That's it.
"This fight had everything on the line for me. This was the highest-stakes fights I've ever been in.
"I was acting very erratically."
The Commission attorney said McGregor’s behavior showed “disrespect to the commission, disrespect to the sport.”
Diaz was scheduled to appear before the commission on Monday, but was granted a delay.
Elsewhere, Eddie Alvarez has responded to rumors that McGregor was knocked out cold during a training session for their upcoming fight at UFC 205.
Alvarez is set to face McGregor in New York on November 12, as he defends his UFC lightweight title for the first time.
The American fighter appeared amused by McGregor's alleged misfortune, tweeting "rest up, be safe" to his rival.
McGregor is aiming to write his name into the record books at Madison Square Garden by becoming the first fighter to hold two UFC division titles simultaneously.
The featherweight champion has never been knocked out or finished with strikes during his MMA career.
