Mexico's Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez took to the field for El Tri's World Cup last 16 game against Brazil sporting a platinum blonde haircut which has inspired internet users to promise to dye their hair should Mexico win.
Chicharito was joined in the change of hairdo by teammates Miguel Layun and Carlos Salcedo, who both colored their hair blonde, creating a striking juxtaposition between that and their traditional dark green Mexico jersey.
Twitter users were keen to make the comparison between Hernandez and Neymar, who also previously made headlines with his own dubious choice of haircut, and even rapper Eminem.

Chicharito dyed his hair so Brazilian players think he's Neymar so they'll pass him the ball. Smart

Chicharito wondering if dying his hair blonde like Neymar will make him play like Neymar....probably not and it won’t make him rap like Eminem either #BRAMEX pic.twitter.com/pTufRZpbJS
