In the event of the Scandinavian team’s victory, Beckham was demanded to buy the LA Galaxy striker an item of his choice from the world-famous Swedish furniture giant IKEA.
The IKEA forfeit was willingly accepted by the former England midfielder, who then outlined his proposal to Ibrahimovic if the Vikings lost, asking the Swede to “watch an England game at Wembley wearing an England shirt.”
Following the Saturday’s clash in which England beat Sweden 2-0, reaching the World Cup semi-final for the for the first time since 1990, Beckham mocked the former Sweden captain, reminding him of the bet they made.
“Looks like someone’s coming to Wembley,” Beckham captioned a picture of him and Ibrahimovic on his Instagram story.
Ibrahimovic quickly replied, confirming his intention to fulfill the forfeit.
It remains unknown when the two friends will enjoy fish and chips at Wembley, but it’s more likely the highly anticipated meeting will take place later this year during England’s Euro 2020 qualifying campaign.
