American youth coach shot over pee wee football fight (VIDEO)

A youth football game in Nashville, Tennessee, last weekend turned sour after a dispute over the teams’ fight has led to the shooting of one of the team’s coaches.

The incident took place at Antioch High School in Nashville on Saturday after, according to police, the suspect became aggravated at the coach intervening in a fight between the two teams. The 42-year-old victim is now recovering according to a police report.

The suspect has been identified as 30-year-old parolee Eric Caruthers Jr.

Caruthers dressed in a white tank shirt is seen confronting the coach under a set of tents, eventually drawing his weapon and shooting the victim twice in the right leg.

An arrest warrant has been issued by authorities for Caruthers on a felony of aggravated assault, who remains on the run following the incident.
