Football icon Pele hospitalized after attending event with Kylian Mbappe in Paris
Brazilian football legend Pele has been rushed to a Parisian hospital after displaying symptoms of a "strong fever" after taking part in a promotional event with French footballer Kylian Mbappe.
Per reports from France's RMC Sport, Pele soon came down with a "strong fever" after the event and was taken to hospital as a "precautionary measure". The same media source also refers to Pele's condition as a "tetanus crisis."
The 78-year-old's condition is described as "non-life threatening" and it is expected that he will be released after a period of observation by doctors.

Pele, who remains one of football's most beloved figures, was in the French capital on Tuesday for a promotional event with Paris Saint-Germain star Mbappe, who last summer emulated his hero by becoming just the second teenager to score in a World Cup Final.
Pele appeared in good health during the media event, even joking that he hoped that Mbappe would one day join Brazil's Santos, the Brazilian club whom Pele represented throughout the vast majority of his playing career.
