‘He said yes!’ Gritty the Flayers’ mascot ‘proposes’ to newly-appointed coach with whistle
The Philadelphia Flyers’ famed orange mascot Gritty has stolen the show on Thursday by ‘proposing’ to Alain Vigneault, the newly-hired coach of the NHL team.
The seven-foot-tall fluffy monster welcomed Vigneault on Thursday afternoon during the coach’s introduction to the Philadelphia media.
The mascot greeted the new team boss in his true 'Gritty' fashion by getting down on one knee and ‘proposing’ to Vigneault with a new whistle.
