Footballer SACKED for pathetic Panenka penalty attempt (VIDEO)
Venezuelan footballer Brendix Parra has had his contact terminated by Independiente de Campo Grande after a failed Panenka penalty attempt in a Copa Sudamerica shootout defeat to La Equidad.
Parra chipped the ball tamely into goalkeeper Diego Novoa chest as he attempted the cheeky penalty kick often pulled off in style by the likes of Lionel Messi.
Paraguayan club Independiente lost the shootout to their Colombian rivals in their first-round Copa Sudamerica second leg clash last week, after the score had finished 0-0.

Independiente bosses were so enraged by the penalty flop that they have reportedly now dismissed the player, subject to legal confirmation.
"The board of directors decided to dismiss Brendix Parra for the way he kicked the penalty," president Eriberto Gamarra told ABC Cardinal.
"If we had qualified to the next round each player would have earned a bit of money."
Parra has reportedly accepted his fate almost as meekly as he made his penalty attempt, saying: "It's a difficult situation, but life goes on.”
