'He just sent Azpilicueta back to Spain': Chelsea captain sent flying after Lukaku shoulder

Chelsea skipper Cesar Azpilicueta certainly came off second best in a tangle with Manchester United's giant forward Romelu Lukaku on Sunday, as he was sent flying over the pitchside barrier following a shoulder from the Belgian.

Just after the Spaniard complained to the referee after taking an elbow square to the jaw from former Chelsea colleague Nemanja Matic along came another of his old Stamford Bridge teammates to add salt into the wounds of Manchester United's opening goal which came, of course, from former Chelsea player Juan Mata.

Azpilicueta, in a foot race with Romelu Lukaku (who was with him at Chelsea in 2012), was sent tumbling over the advertising hoardings in front of the Stretford End after a particularly robust shoulder from the Belgian directly into a pitchside photographer.

The player and the photographer were both out of action momentarily, though thankfully neither were inured in the incident and both have since resumed their respective duties.
