‘F*cking giants’: Warriors coach Kerr quotes Liverpool boss Klopp as his team beat Rockets (VIDEO)
Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr brought two sporting worlds together when he quoted Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp while praising the Warriors’ victory against the Houston Rockets in the NBA playoffs.
The Warriors beat the Rockets 104-99 in Game 5 to take a 3-2 lead in their second-round series, putting in a gutsy performance that defied the loss of leading scorer Kevin Durant to injury.
Kerr is aiming to lead the Warriors to a fourth NBA Championship in five years, and paid tribute to his team’s fighting spirit after Wednesday’s game by channeling Klopp – whose own team pulled off a remarkable Champions League semi-final comeback against Barcelona on Tuesday night.

"I don't know if you're a soccer fan but Liverpool came out yesterday with one of the great wins in soccer history,” Kerr said.
"After the match, their manager Jurgen Klopp said: 'The young kids in Liverpool are probably asleep by now so I'm just going to go ahead and say it, but our boys are f*cking giants.
"That's what he said. And I know how he feels. I apologize to my mom, who is probably watching, but our guys are f*cking giants. That was an unbelievable victory tonight.
“After dark I’m a different guy,” he added to laughter.

Klopp had used the same phrase the night before to describe his team’s performance in overturning a 3-0 first-leg deficit to beat Barcelona 4-0 at Anfield.
