Paris Saint-Germain striker Neymar has been slapped with a three-match ban after clashing with a fan after PSG's French Cup Final defeat last month.
The French Football Federation imposed the ban after Neymar appeared to aim a punch at a fan who was attempting to record him on his mobile phone as the Brazilian made his way to collect his runners-up medal.
PSG were beaten 6-5 on penalties after surrendering a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 with Rennes, who then won the cup after a dramatic shoot-out.
And, after learning of their star man's suspension, PSG issued a statement branding the punishment "severe" and promising to appeal to the French Football Federation's appeals committee.
The Brazilian's suspension will begin on Monday, meaning he will miss PSG's final two games against Dijon and Reims.
In addition, he will also miss the first game of the 2019-20 season, the Trophee des Champions match against Rennes, which will take place in August.
Neymar is also suspended for the next three European matches after insulting match officials after PSG's Last 16 exit to Manchester United in the UEFA Champions League.
