'I'm ECSTATIC': Golf starlet Bella Angel thrills fans in tight outfit on Instagram as she pitches up to swing with the stars again
Internet sensation Bella Angel, who has swapped tips with icons including Lee Westwood and Sergio Garcia during her budding career on the course, has delighted her vast fanbase by speaking of her excitement at returning to golf.
The 22-year-old has kept her huge following of more than 212,000 entertained during lockdown by sharing a video of herself in a figure-hugging dress performing 1,000 golf keepy-uppies in a single day for charity.
Known for her chic fashion and skin-baring outfits on the course, the popular personality cheekily told fans to "take me to the candy shop" and showed off her baking skills during quarantine, admitting that she was missing golf during an enforced absence from a sport that saw her visit the Saudi International and win a tournament in Abu Dhabi last year.
"It’s a beautiful feeling, striking it pure," she reflected, describing her favorite hybrid club. "Truly what dreams are made of."
Angel was a star golfer at Loughborough University and has met several of her heroes since graduating, including former Open and PGA champion Padraig Harrington and current American superstar Brooks Koepka.
She has played at some of the world's most famous courses including the Royal Dornoch in Scotland and the Emirates Golf Club, which hosts the male and female versions of lucrative tour event the Dubai Desert Classic.
Her jet-setting exploits have included regular trips to play golf in California, posting photos from Laguna Beach and Beverly Hills while telling her followers that she was "thinking of every one of you and sending you some love."
Self-depracatingly describing herself as a "bunker magnet", the exuberant newcomer modeled in a sleeveless white top and pink skirt for a series of shots as she returned to a course for the first time in three months after lockdown restrictions were eased in the UK.
"Today the sun was shining and I hit my first golf ball," she reported. "Ecstatic to be back. So much to start working on. How’s your return to golf going?"
In between offering encouragement to commenters who told her about their scores, she sent kisses to a fan who replied: "Talented golfer, talented photographer – is there anything you can’t do?
When asked what score she had shot, she explained: "Only practiced today. Definitely not ready for playing a round yet – would be too disastrous.
"I wasn’t a member anywhere and I had to join my local club before I could do anything. The process took longer than I expected."
Last year, Angel also took a rare break from perfecting her swing to join a boxing event when organizers of a university card asked her to step in as a ring girl.
