In an extravagant presentation in the country's capital, members of the current Olympic team, as well as former Olympic champions paraded the new kit.A 500-strong dance troupe wowed spectators with a pulsating performance, while many prominent musicians, politicians and athletes were present on a traditional English double-decker bus.President of the Russian Olympic Committee, Aleksandr Zhukov, was in attendance, saying Russia has the potential to better their performance in Beijing 4 years ago.“We’ll have about 25 gold medals,” he stressed. “Actually, it’ll be a bit more that in Beijing. Of course, Russia will try to compete with the US and China, but if we calculate the result of the recent world championships we can say that China will, probably, have the first place and the US – the second. ”The 2012 Summer Olympics take place in the English capital between July 27 and August 12.
