Rustam Totrov has claimed yet another Greco-Roman wrestling medal for Russia at the London Games, snatching silver in the 96kg category.
Totrov failed to cope with Ghasem Rezaei of Iran in the final, going down by a 3-0 (2-0 1-0) score.The Russian’s rival managed to complete a throw in the opening period and spent the rest of the contest defending, thus maintaining his advantage. Totrov, 28, bagged his silver medal by defeating Tsimafei Dzeinichenka of Belarus in the semi-final.Meanwhile, Artur Aleksanyan of Armenia and Sweden’s Jimmy Lidberg won gold medals in the event. The Russian Greco-Roman wrestlers have so far brought their country five medals (two golds, a silver and two bronze) at the Games.
