The ‘Swiss Army Knife’ of combat vehicles? British ‘Terrier’ tank revealed (VIDEO)
The British Army’s new ‘Terrier’ tank has been labelled the ‘Swiss Army Knife’ of combat vehicles because of its bizarre array of modern warfare appendages.
The updated tank bears a new eight meter telescopic explorative arm - “one of the longest in the world available for such a vehicle” - for inspecting buried devices from a safer distance.
It also has the ability to wade through two meters of water, penetrate rock or concrete, and an added “ripper” plans to “tear up roads or runways, preventing their use”. Sure, what more would you need?
“Along with the new telescopic arm and other attachments , Terrier remains the most technologically advanced and flexible combat engineer vehicle in the world,” said a BAE Systems representative.

As if that wasn’t enough for any self-respecting tank owner, before its latest updates the Terrier already possessed the ability to lift more than 11,000lb weight and move 662,000lb of earth every hour.
