People caught up in the Manchester terrorist attack are complaining that lax security measures were in place ahead of the bombing, which has killed at least 22 people.
People who attended the Ariana Grande concert on Monday night have taken to Twitter to complain of inadequate checks.
Some users said that while bags were checked, jackets and other clothing were not.
Another said the security arrangements had been “horrendous.”
In a statement released early on Tuesday, Manchester Arena said the attack occurred outside its premises and in a public area.
After a recent Ed Sheeran concert at the same venue a woman complained on Trip Advisor that security checks were minimal.
Identifying herself only as Anna W, the woman wrote: "Went to see Ed Sheeran on Sunday 23rd April concert was great but there was no security on the door which was quite alarming. A female security person just scanned our ticket and didn't check my bag at all.
"Once we got in and bought a bottle of wine the top is taken off so they r (sic) not used as missiles but no check to see if u have any type of weapon/bomb in your bag in these times of terror attacks its not good enough for the crowd or the act on stage. #needs sorting."
