A BBC News camera accidentally captured the moment a man ran right in front of a double-decker bus during a live report outside London’s High Court.

BBC reporter Keith Doyle was speaking to camera outside the Royal Courts of Justice on Monday, when a person behind him appeared to fall in front of a London bus.

With the reporter focusing on relaying updates on the court case concerning critically ill baby Charlie Gard’s medical treatment, he appears to have missed exactly what happened.

However, footage of the collision shows a man in a blue t-shirt running past the camera at speed, before a bus in the background stops suddenly.

A crowd then gathers at the accident scene on London’s Strand, which is just a few meters from a pedestrian crossing.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed the collision to the Express newspaper.

“We were called at 3.10pm to reports of a road traffic collision between a bus and a pedestrian. The man is believed to have arm injuries but they are not life-threatening or life changing,” the statement read.
